The course deals with the analysis of biotechnology and food engineering mass transfer phenomena: Fick's law, steady and unsteady diffusion, mass transfer coefficients, transfer accompanied by chemical reaction. Unit operations involving mass transfer, differential and stagewise separation processes, general design and operation of mass-transfer equipment.
