After a short week of studies, here’s an email recapping our progress so far. 

We finally completed our first reading activity this Sunday:

This time we focused on exercises 3-5 employing global and close reading strategies.

Following our talk about parts of speech from the PowerPoint from the Grammar bank you used the knowledge to complete some sentences in exercise 7 of Activity 2.

And by Sunday next week, please complete the rest of Exercise 7 in Activity 2. In addition, complete exercise 6 with referents.

Since next week some students might be absent due to religious holidays, I suggest that they make up the material at home with all the relevant files. We‘ll be working with activities 5-6:

In the Grammar and Skills bank, make sure to cover the handout on Defining Terms, presentation and exercises on Relative Clauses, as well as an explanation and an exercise on Present Simple. 

I will not be able to run a Zoom meeting during class. You can arrange to meet me for an office hour if you need extra help or further explanations.
